Designed for Preschool through 12th grade, our camps offer an exciting mix of activities to keep kids engaged and entertained. From outdoor adventures to creative arts and hands-on experiences, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

General Day Camp

Monday - Friday | All Summer Long | June 1 - Aug. 14
  • Teacher: WCDS Faculty
  • Location: On Campus
  • Participants: Ages 3-12
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Cost: $250 per student per week. Daily drop-in rate $65 (if space available).
  • A safe and nurturing environment to encourage fun and learning. Play, recess, library time, gymnasium, in the care of trained, loving WCDS Faculty. Limited Space. Campers bring snack/lunch/water. Students signed up for General Day Camp for the entire summer will shift into the Specialty Camps during the month of July for no additional fees.

July 6-10 Camps

Music, Spanish, Recycled Art, & Outdoor Play Camp

July 6-10
  • Teacher: Mrs. Carney, WCDS 1st Grade Teacher
  • Location: On Campus
  • Participants: Rising Preschool-Kindergarten
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Cost: $325
  • During the week, children will explore concepts of music through rhythm instruments, singing, listening, movement, and games that draw the ear to some of the basic elements of music like rhythm, pitch, dynamics, expression, scales, major versus minor keys and simple rounds. We will also sing and play games in Spanish. In the afternoons we will focus on art projects made from recycled and natural materials and outdoor play, including water play.

Sculpture Camp

July 6-10
  • Teacher: Mrs. Pheister, former WCDS 4th Grade Teacher
  • Location: On Campus
  • Participants: Rising 1st-6th Grade
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Cost: $325
  • Come explore different 3D materials and learn the basics of building with things like clay, paper mache, cardboard and other recycled materials. We will also cover techniques like carving, sewing, principles of design and learning to use the creative process. In between activities and crafts we will be sure to take time to cool off in the water and play outside!

Discovering the World of Bugs Camp

July 13-17

  • Join our camp for an exciting journey into the fascinating world of bugs, both outdoors and in the classroom. Engage in hands-on scientific explorations and unleash your creativity through diverse art projects focused on insects. Camp activities include nature crafts, beading, weaving, baking, and painting. Each day, cool off with fun on the slip and slide or the splash pad. Students are encouraged to explore their surroundings and transform their observations and discoveries into imaginative creations.

Space Camp

  • Participants: Rising 1st-6th Grade
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

  • Curious about what is out there? Come learn about and explore the wonders of our universe, and let your imagination run wild. We will be using resources from NASA to learn about our solar system, galaxy and new discoveries beyond. Activities will include engineering challenges, experiments and art projects, with plenty of time for games in between.

Sewing Camp

  • Discover the creativity and confidence that come with working by hand in our sewing camp. Campers will explore the basics of sewing and textile arts while experimenting with patterns, textures, and color to express their own style. Through a mix of guided projects and open-ended design time, students will build skills, problem-solve, and see ideas take shape. Along the way, they’ll collaborate, share inspiration, and enjoy a relaxed, creative atmosphere that encourages curiosity and pride in what they make.

LEGO Camp

  • Step into a room filled with LEGO® bricks of your dreams! Campers will take on hands-on engineering challenges that build problem-solving skills while encouraging creativity and imagination. Each project allows students to add their own artistic flair, making every creation unique. Throughout the week, students will also bring their builds to life by creating stop-motion videos. This STEAM-focused camp is perfect for young builders who love to design, invent, and create.

Taylor Swift Camp

  • Calling all Swifties! Our Middle School Taylor Swift Camp is a one-of-a-kind experience designed for students who love music, creativity, and self-expression. Throughout the week, campers will dive into the world of Taylor Swift — exploring her music, storytelling, and evolution as an artist — while building confidence and community with fellow fans. Each day blends fun and skill-building as students analyze lyrics, write their own songs and poetry, create themed art projects, learn basic choreography, and collaborate on performances inspired by different “eras.” Campers will also explore how Taylor uses her voice to tell stories, stand up for herself, and connect with millions around the world. The week culminates in a showcase where campers share their creations with friends and family — original lyrics, mini-performances, and artwork that reflect their own unique style. No prior musical experience is required — just enthusiasm, imagination, and a love for all things Taylor. This camp celebrates creativity, friendship, and finding your voice, Swiftie-style.

Around the World Camp

  • Join us as we travel across 5 continents and explore their cultures and cuisines. We will learn songs, make and try new foods, and try our hand at traditional games and crafts as we make our way across the world. It's sure to be a fantastic trip!

Stitch Camp

  • Get ready for a fun-filled week of creativity, crafting, and hands-on learning! At Stitch Camp, students in grades 1–5 will explore the exciting world of sewing and fiber arts while making their own adorable stuffies, learning basic embroidery, and practicing beginner-friendly stitching skills. Campers will build confidence as they design, create, and bring their projects to life—no prior sewing experience needed! In addition to crafting, students will enjoy games, movement breaks, team challenges, and creative play, making each day both productive and fun. This camp encourages creativity, patience, problem-solving, and fine motor skills in a supportive, joyful environment. By the end of the week, campers will leave with handmade projects, new skills, and a sense of pride in their creations. Perfect for crafty kids, curious beginners, and anyone who loves to make and imagine!

Hiking Camp

July 27-31
  • Teacher: Mr. Locicero, WCDS Math Teacher
  • Location: George Washington & Jefferson National Forest
  • Participants: Rising 6th Grade and Up
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Cost: $325
  • The primary purpose of this camp is to build cardiovascular endurance and develop a strong application of safe, hygienic and efficient hiking procedures, with emphasis on proper nutrition, hydration, breathing techniques, clothing choices, footwear, and usage of effective bug repellents. In addition, those participating in this camp will improve their mental spatial awareness by mapping each trail through tracking, landmarking, and identification of native fungi, flora, and animals.
