Our summer camps are available for preschool students through 12th grade and offer a variety of activities and experiences that will keep your child engaged and entertained. General Day Camp

Monday - Friday | All Summer Long | May 27 - Aug. 15
  • Teacher: WCDS Faculty
  • Location: On Campus
  • Participants: Ages 3-12
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Cost: $250 per student per week. Daily drop-in rate $60 (if space available).
  • A safe and nurturing environment to encourage fun and learning. Play, recess, library time, gymnasium, in the care of trained, loving WCDS Faculty. Limited Space. Campers bring snack/lunch/water. Students signed up for General Day Camp for the entire summer will shift into the Specialty Camps during the month of July for no additional fees.

Around the World in 5 Days!

July 7-11

  • Join in as we explore different areas of the world through stories, songs, crafts, and food. We will explore one area of the world each day with fun activities both indoors and outdoors!

Science Explorers Camp

  • Participants: Rising 1st - 3rd Grade
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

  • Get ready for a week of hands-on science experiments and endless fun! Campers will dive into a world of exciting experiments where they'll pour, mix, and watch as things fizz, pop, and change before their eyes. Each day is packed with engaging, interactive activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Campers will explore a little bit of everything, from chemistry to physics, learning how to ask questions and discover new things through the magic of science.

Cheerleading & Pep Club Camp

  • Get ready for a summer filled with excitement, fun, and team spirit! Learn fun motions, chants, and cheers that build confidence and team spirit! We'll introduce the basics of tumbling and help campers get comfortable with new skills. Team building games will strengthen teamwork through exciting games designed to improve communication and cooperation. Celebrate with a fun team party, complete with music, games, and treats at an end-of-camp party. Whether your camper is a first-time cheerleader or looking to sharpen their skills, this camp is the perfect opportunity for them to have fun, make lasting memories, and develop confidence as part of a team!

Comics & Stop Motion Animation Camp

  • Does your child love to draw? Tell stories? Calling all artists, doodlers, animators and comic book lovers! In this camp we will learn about what goes into drawing comic panels, drawing our unique characters, and dreaming up stories frame by frame. Then we will transform some of our ideas into stop motion animations. To top off the fun, we will have lots of time for prizes, games, and waterplay throughout the week!

Soccer Skills Camp

  • Participants: Rising 6th - 8th Grade

  • Join us for soccer skills camp, focused on skill development, teamwork, and competitive play. Campers can expect daily training sessions that include drills for dribbling, passing and passing accuracy, ball control, shooting, trapping, core ball skills and technique; along with game simulations to enhance their understanding of strategy and positioning. After finishing the camp, campers will have improved skills, leaving them feeling confident and prepared for the upcoming 2025 soccer season.

Art & Splash of Water Fun Camp

July 14-18

  • Participants: Rising Preschool-Kindergarten
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

  • This camp will include outdoor nature exploration with lots of different art projects and some fun in the water. Camp activities include, but are not limited to, lots of crafts, beading, weaving, baking, painting, and playing in the sprinkler or slip and slide, and much more. Campers are encouraged to explore the world around them and have the option to put their observations and findings into creative and individual creations!

Cheerleading & Pep Club Camp

Sculpture Camp

  • Participants: Rising 4th-6th Grade
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

  • Clay, cardboard, paper mache, sewing and more! Each day will have new media to explore, projects to try out, and open-ended art challenges! To top off the fun, we will have lots of time for prizes, games, and waterplay throughout the week.

Volleyball Skills Camp

July 14-18

  • Location: On Campus
  • Participants: Rising 6th-8th Grade
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

  • Join us for summer volleyball camp! Be a part of an immersive experience focused on skill development, teamwork, and competitive play. Campers can expect daily training sessions that include drills for serving, passing, setting, and hitting, along with game simulations to enhance their understanding of strategy and positioning. Additionally, campers will enjoy team-building activities and opportunities to build friendships. Finishing the camp, campers will have improved their skills on the court, leaving them feeling confident and prepared for the upcoming 2025 volleyball season.

Music, Spanish, Recycled Art, & Outdoor Play Camp

July 21-25

  • Location: On Campus
  • Participants: Rising Preschool-Kindergarten
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Cost: $325
  • Join us for a week of fun with music, Spanish, recycled art, and outdoor play! Campers will explore concepts of music through rhythm instruments, singing, listening, movement, and games that draw the ear to some of the basic elements of music like rhythm, pitch, dynamics, expression, scales, major versus minor keys, and simple rounds. We will also sing and play games in Spanish. In the afternoons, we will focus on art projects made from recycled and natural materials, and outdoor play including water play on warm days. We will take our games, projects, and lunch outside whenever possible to enjoy the fresh air and summer weather.

Construction, Building, & Engineering Camp

  • Participants: Rising 1st-3rd Grade
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

  • Does your child build constantly? Do they love Legos, blocks, forts, and claim the title of master builder? This is a camp for them! We will use books, stories, and pictures to help gather ideas. Then we will use the engineering process to help their ideas come to life! We will also learn cardboard construction techniques to help your camper's ideas become life-size. In between construction sessions, we will stop for water and outdoor play.

Drama & Theater Camp

  • Join us for a fantastic week of theater fun! Campers will be learning a range of acting and performing skills that will culminate in a final performance on the last day of camp. Campers will be guided through a wide variety of activities and games that will not only develop their acting skills but will allow them to explore different aspects of theater productions in a fun, collaborative environment.

Etiquette & Glamour Camp

  • This camp will help campers develop a foundation of social grace, self-confidence, and style that they can carry with them throughout their lives. We will focus on inclusivity and self-expression, ensuring every camper feels empowered and comfortable with a mix of lessons, hands-on activities, and social time where campers can practice their newly learned skills. Campers will feel more self-assured and poised, preparing them for various social settings in the future.

  • Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

  • Drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and more! This week, campers will explore a variety of art mediums and techniques while drawing inspiration from some of the great works of art history. Each day will include a combination of looking at and talking about art, sketching, work on specific projects, art games, and outside play time. Campers will also enjoy plenty of "studio time" for free draw, and experimentation!

Basketball Skills Camp

July 28-August 1

After finishing the camp, campers will have improved their skills, leaving them feeling confident and prepared for the upcoming basketball 2025 basketball season.

Hiking Camp

  • Join me for a once-a-week hike for 5 weeks this summer! Hikes will include exploring hiking paths, streams, and mountains in the Shenandoah National Park as well as day hikes in and around our local counties. Activities may be adjusted depending on the weather.
