For Scholastic and Extra-Curricular Merit

For the 2020-2021 academic year, the Chairman of the WCDS Board of Directors has allocated $100K in funds to support merit scholarships up to 50% of tuition for new students enrolling in the school. At WCDS we define “merit” not only as academic achievement but also as a demonstrated desire of students to become their best selves through the development of their character as well as their natural gifts and talents. In short, we are looking for students who contribute positively to their families, their schools, and their communities. All aspects of the application for admission (recommendations, academic transcripts or report cards, written responses to questions, and admission interviews during shadowing days) will be considered when evaluating the scholarship application.

All applicants should complete the Family Data section. Students applying for entrance into grades 4 -10 should complete the Activities/Awards section. Students applying for entrance into grades 1-3 should have parents assist with the completion of the Questionnaire section. Once completed, submit via email attachment with your application for admission to [email protected] or mail to Wakefield Country Day School, P.O. Box 739, Flint Hill, Virginia 22627 Attention: Suzanne Zylonis.
