The WCDS gymnasium has seen a few upgrades in the recent past, from the new scoreboard purchased five years ago with funds from a generous gift given to the school by First Union Bank to a concession stand and storage unit (The Nest), built and donated by the Vaught family two years ago, but the athletes and their visiting teams are yearning for comfortable temperatures when they play. The gym has no cooling system and a heating system that is old and inefficient. Designating your gift to athletics will provide funds to jumpstart a capital campaign to purchase a new heating/cooling unit for the space.
