" 'Invest in your community; go out and buy up the block' is a quote that resonates with me," says Marc Cugnon.  "No matter where you grow up, your community is really important, and education is one of the most critical things we can gain to better ourselves as a society."  Marc Cugnon is a Wakefield Country Day School, Class of 2013, graduate who went on to get his BA and Masters at Yale University in 2018.

This year marks the inaugural year for the Marc Cugnon Leadership Scholarship.  Marc says, "I lived most of my life about 15 minutes from the School (WCDS).  When you have an opportunity like I was given, to study at a great school, go to an amazing college, and now be in a professional career, I wanted to remember where I came from and to make a difference in the the community where I grew up.   When I read all the applications, one really stood out."
