WCDS teachers hold degrees in their chosen fields and enjoy challenging their small, well-disciplined classes with the best of western civilization in the arts, humanities, mathematics, and science. Employing a classical approach to education allows the faculty to move students beyond testing prowess and helps students delve more deeply into larger questions relating to the subjects at hand. Every teacher challenges the students to question, research, write, and speak in a reflective manner, appropriate to their level of development.
Teachers also coach teams, sponsor after school activities and clubs, and give their all to the school. All teachers and staff embrace the school’s mission of personal and academic excellence.
