The Model United Nations program enables students to develop skills in public speaking, cooperation and diplomacy by being part of active discussions and debate. Yearly the team travels to Model U. N. conferences in order to represent a given country and to work in the General Assembly, the Security Council and the Crisis Council to pass resolutions and engage in unrehearsed discussions on hypothetical global emergencies. The team also travels abroad when opportunities and funding make such trips possible. Recent destination opportunities have included Ireland, the Netherlands, and Nairobi. Such trips are made possible through extensive fund-raising by the students throughout the year.
